Content is King but the Analyst rules the Kingdom

A consistent focus on the quality content for your target audience and followers/fans will grow. But in order to produce quality content for your “target” audience…you must focus on the follower data and use great analysts/tools. Analytics are key to finding the people who want and need to hear your messages.

Jeremiah Owyang has a great blog post on elements of social data…I am sure there are others out there.

The 7 Elements of Social Data
We segmented data that has been tried and true for years on the top tier: demographics and product. Then, we segmented data that digital marketers are striving to tackle now in the middle tier: Pschographic, behaviroial, and refferal data. At the bottom tier, we listed out experimental new types of data that most companies have not harnessed, the newcommers location based and intention data.
